PHOTOVILLE: Youth Photo Summit

Youth photographers from community programs all around New York City come together to share their artistic process and photography at PHOTOVILLE. Featured photographers include:

The 2019 NYU Tisch Future Imagemakers youth will show selections from their projects and discuss their motivations, ideas, and what draws them to photography.

Lion’s Tooth Project youth will share Reflex-tions, an exploration of self through portraiture utilizing pinhole photography, mirrors, and creative writing.

The Lower Eastside Girls Club youth and their collaborators A VOICE (Flathead Nation, Montana), YAYA’S (New Orleans), and Club Balam (Chiapas, Mexico) will share how they wield their cameras to highlight water issues in their communities.

This panel is free and open to the public, but seats are reserved first for students attending Photoville Education Day.
